Quran Connect does not require an account, and we never sell your personal data. This policy explains what the app uses, why, and the choices you have.

Information the app uses

• Location (approximate). Used only on your phone to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. Your location is stored on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can instead choose a city by hand.
• City search. If you search for a city, the text you type is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to find matching places.
• Notifications. Used to play the adhan and send reminders you turn on. They are scheduled on your device.
• Settings and progress. Your bookmarks, reading streak, preferences, Ramadan tracking and downloaded audio stay on your device.

Content services

To show translations and play recitations, the app downloads content from quranenc.com and quran.com (including download.quranicaudio.com). These services receive standard technical information such as your IP address, as with any website.

Advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect and use your device's advertising ID and technical information to show and measure ads. Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the app asks for your consent first. Learn more in How Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used, and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports so we can fix problems. This data is about app usage and device type; it does not include your name, contacts or exact location.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions in your phone's settings.
• You can delete all data stored by the app by clearing its storage or uninstalling it.
